I have a math problem for you:
Three men were traveling together. They saw a sign that said, "MOTEL $25 per night". They decided to spend the night there.
When they went to check in they were told the price would be $30. The proprietor said that the $25 dollar price was for double occupancy.
They each paid $10. 10x3=30
After they went to the room the motel owner started feeling guilty for charging them the extra $5 and decided return the $5 to them. He told his employee to take $5 to their room.
The employee was not very honest. He reasoned that the 3 men could not divide $5 evenly, so he decided to only give them $1 each, keeping $2 for himself. 1+1+1=3 +2=5 So the men originally paid $10 each, then they got $1 each back, which means that they each paid $9. 10-1=9 and the dishonest employee kept $2.
so 9+9+9=27 the dishonest guy had $2 27+2=29. Where did the other dollar go?

IF YOU DON'T WANT THE ANSWER DON'T READ THIS POST.
I worked it out using play money and I realised that you said it JUST right so it sounded like there was a dollar missing. But there was not. All 30 dollers are there. It would b very hard for me to explain by typing. But you just made it SEEM like there was a dollar missing by saying just the right thing.
